Armstrong’s Haven was inspired by the life and journey of Johnny Armstrong, a veteran who experienced homelessness and struggled with substance use for several years. During that time, he faced many of the challenges that individuals encounter when they lack stable housing and support.
After years of hardship, his family was able to locate him, help him regain stability, and support him in rebuilding his life. With guidance and determination, he secured his VA benefits, reconnected with loved ones, and went on to build a successful business selling pallets and providing lawn care services. He became known in the community as “Mr. Armstrong, the Pallet Man.” His story is a powerful example of resilience, dignity, and the impact that support and stable housing can have on a person’s life.
Armstrong’s Haven was created in his honor and is dedicated to providing others with the same opportunity—a safe, structured, and affordable stable housing for adults to regain stability, rebuild their lives, and move forward with purpose. We understand that quality housing can create the foundation for peace, independence, and progress.
Our mission is to offer a respectful living environment where residents feel secure, supported, and valued. We focus on cleanliness, comfort, and structure so each resident can live with dignity in a well-managed home.
